This week, students from the ETS department enjoyed a trip to London Zoo. The excursion was suggested by a young person, after having received the Jack Petchey Award, in recognition of outstanding achievement.

This was the perfect trip for this group, as many of them have a passion for animals, with plans to study Animal Management or work in animal related industries in the future.

Young people and staff alike enjoyed seeing a huge array of animals, as well finding out more about the exceptional conservation and research work of the zoo. Highlights of the day, included see a tiger and her 3 young cubs (just 4 months old!), as well as a talk at ‘Penguin Beach’.

All students remarked that they had a very enjoyable and memorable day.
